Legalisation of Documents

The Legalization of documents is the process of authenticating or certifying legal documents so as to be fully recognized by any Legal System. Authentication by legalization is widely used in international commerce and civil law matters in those jurisdictions which are not signatory of the Hague Convention.

Our experienced legalisation team has a full understanding of the legalisation process and the requirements of different jurisdictions. Cyprus is part of the international treaty of the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention).

Hence, Apostille is an international certification which determines the process in which a document issued in one of the countries being part of the above mentioned treaty is certified for legal purposes in any other member state. Such certification is comparable to a certification in domestic law and supplements a local certification of the document. Our firm can arrange all types of document legalization on the same day or within a few days as long as all the necessary documentation is provided.
